Happy Chinese New Year!
Happy Chinese New Year everyone! I am Qin Xu from Suzhou, China, and I am so glad to say how happy I am to work with all of you on this wonderful project on the starting on the Chinese lunar year!

Welcome to the "Suzhou Project"
Welcome to our Humanities Middle School Project that will be featuring a collaboration of students and schools, from the United States to China. This project is designed to unite several learning communities by creating several individualized integrated art projects that can be shared between each global learning platform. Please note that our sites are separated by approximately 6600+ miles and Suzhou is 16 hours ahead of San Diego.
Our first collaboration will feature Mr. Smith (CTE/Humanities Instructor from Otay Ranch Academy for the Arts) and Qin Xu (Alumnus from Chengxi Middle School, Suzhou - China). They will introduce the first project by having students from the Otay Ranch Academy create a broadcast news segment featuring questions about the "Education in Suzhou, China and Education in Chicago, USA". The students will be doing this while experiencing the world from the perspective of a visually impaired learner.
